Thomas Alva Edison (February 11, 1847 - October 18, 1931) was an American great inventor, businessman and scientist who has developed many devices which influenced life around the world. Some of his remarkable work including the invention of phonograph, the motion picture camera, the stock ticker, typewriter and the long-lasting, practical electric light bulb.



During his life, he has registered a total of 1093 patents under his name and had made millions from his inventions and businesses he built on them. He was known for his work with electricity and was nicknamed "the Wizard ofMenlo Park" following that his labs were situated in Menlo Park.

Let's take a peek on the doodle. All the features in the doodle shows the devices which were invented by Thomas. The doodle has moving belts which link from one to another and it is presented in the classic way to tribute him for his earliest work which has triggered many modern technology as we have today. It shows a string of network starting with the telegraph apparatus which connects to the telephone. There are also the phonograph and the incandescent light bulb which all of them form the "Google' letters.
